- View your Submission Type and click the “Edit” button at the top right.
- Click on the “Form Letter” tab.
- Choose the default form under “Default block form:” or create and save a new one.
- Click “Save” at the bottom to save your settings.
Summary
If one-click blocking is enabled for your Submission Type and your reader has permission to block authors from submitting, they will now see a “Block” button at the top of a submission. Clicking on this button will bring up a confirmation modal*** to make sure you want to block this user. The reader will be able to select the form letter to use (by default, it will use the block form) and whether to block globally, that is, across all Publications and Submission Types, or only the current Submission Type.
Confirming the block will do the following:
- The submission will be marked “rejected”
- An email will be sent to the offending author using the selected form letter
- The author’s email will be added to the blocklist, either for the current Submission Type, or, if “block globally” is selected, All Submission Types.
- Emails are blocked, instead of names, as emails are the only way to reliably identify a unique individual.
- Blocked authors will be flagged in Moksha with a warning symbol ⚠️.
You can manually add and remove blocks by editing your Submission Type and clicking on the “Blocklist” tab.
*** Not technically one-click, but this confirmation modal will prevent most accidental clicks.
